Chance,

You know looking at that a couple of times, it resembles a Casacabel ( Tropical Rattlesnake) rather remarkably.
Nice Rattler!

Sincerely,
Matt
PS.
Man these forums are nearly dead. Where is everyone??

"Where is everyone?"

How many states can one legally keep venomous snakes in these days?

Add that to the awesome economy and you have your answer.

Well, heck it was never this DEAD even during the last reccession. Weirdly, I am in one of the few states where I can keep Hots. Which I was not last time I used to be on here. Tenn. laws were just required way to much money. Of course, unless you collect for Rattlesnake Roundups, most collecting is prohibited on public land.
Its kind of dissapointing there is not much interest anymore. The Economy I understand.

Sincerely,
Matthew

Yeah Ive had another person tell me it favored another the terrificus a lil...Her colors really are different...got her set up with a male from the same site..This place she was removed from had a patternless killed last summer. Yeah the venomous market has definately fallen off. I live in Florida and have had a venomous permit for the past 10 years. A few years back however the restrictions and requirements are more strict.

It really does have a strong yellow & strong contrast I have not seen in other EDBs.
I have heard they require more hours of internsip to get the Florida permit. Not really a bad thing, still..
Anyway, I live in Texas, where I can kep a hot. Unfortunatey I can no lnger road cruise public roads to collect. I still try for photos. Unfortunately, tis state still allows Sweetwater to go on..

Sincerely,
Matthew

Florida requires inventory updates with aquisition records. 1000 hours experience. I have to have a critical incident plan posted on premises. Lockable room or the cages all have to lock. I have a temp controlled shed that I lock. Most of my big diamondbacks are locked down. the young easterns and pigmys I keep in rubbermaid containers. Most of the road cruising areas here are on National forrest land or refuges. I dont collect wild caughts unless they are anery pigs or young easterns. The 2 adults easterns I have collected were from a special sand pit known for crazy aberrancies...which they usually kill. The eastern female is definately aberrant in some way...she is eating like a champ too...which everyone said Id never get her to do.

yeah this forum stinks..not too much traffic anymore....I just started frequenting fieldherpforum.com. Its pretty cool. No classifieds but great photography stuff and field reports...

It's a pretty snake, as are most EDBs, but I'm not seeing anything outside the "normal" range of pattern variation...
