Recent pics of my 2005 male non-locality blairs from John Schmitt/Suncoast Herps. He is aging quite nicely.

Off topic-Since I do love locality as well, as well as those here on the forum, here is a rare treat to see in the herp world, something long lost in the world of morphs: An actual, true locality Okeetee corn from lines kept untouched for over 20 years by a good friend of mine. Thought some here may appreciate it!

Nice looking Blair's.
The Okeetee locality corn is interesting too. Do you have any story to go with it? Like how the original stock was collected and who collected it? I'm not really interested in working with them I just like to hear the stories. I heard several years ago people were still finding cornsnakes just outside the Okeetee Preserve. They're called Okeetee "Border Corns".

Hey Aaron!

Thanks!

My buddy had hand picked his breeding stock from WC Okeetee locality corns way over 20 years ago. No big story.

This corn is also one of my absolute faves in my collection. In this craze of morphs these days, I think that the beauty of normal corns is very much overlooked and underrated.

Nice animals Billy!! Yeah, you know I like them the way mother nature made them too!! Of course, we all pick the best hatchlings and then down the line they always look better and better. I am still searching for a female MD corn snake. My buddy caught a male many years ago and I know where he is. Would love to get a pair of those rarities. I have never seen one in MD in thirty eight years plus of herping. They should be protected IMO, but not until I find a female. LOL

I wish I would have snapped some photos while I had him at my house. I should have kept him myself as he was offered to me first. (I held him for a few days for the guy who got him) He looked kinda like a sandhills corn from the carolinas. I just hope to find a female before the fella gets over the hill or they receive the needed protection from the state.
