humidity problem, question.

amfalland May 26, 2012 02:23 PM

I am a first time owner of a bearded dragon. I have the enclosure all ready. But I have some question about the humidity. During the day is at 50% to 55% . During the night it get to 80 to 90. Would it be a good idea to invest in a dehumidify.

The day time humidity is fine though it would be a good idea to have a dehumidifier to run at night. Its rather high for a bearded dragon. Its best to keep it between 40-60%

Ok thank you. I believed I would need one. Do u know if there a dehumidifier
for reptiles or will I need to get one for the room it will be in?

far as I know there aren't any specifically for reptiles, but a dehumidifier for the room should work fine. The heat of the lamps will keep the cage dryer automatically.
