I found 2 mole skinks about 10 yrs ago in Palatka, Fl.
They we're almost black with a thin cream stripe on either side of the body.
The tail was hot pink!
I can't find any mole skinks in that range with pink tails.
Anybody know?

In case you're still wondering (over nine months later).....it was probably a Plestiodon ssp. with a regenerated tail.
