Sanderson Last Weekend

StuTennyson May 30, 2012 06:15 AM

Visited Sanderson this past Memorial Weekend. Stayed at The Outback. About a half dozen other hunters were there. Hunted Saturday and Sunday Night. First night was almost a bust due to cool temps and rain. Managed to find these two the first night. Second night only saw one DOR Great Plains Ratsnake. Although I was only there for two nights still had a great time. Been doing this since 1977 and it's still fun!

Nice. What are the sizes and sexes of those two? Is that Blair's eating a spiny lizard? Are those in situ pics? Congrats on the two alterna night. Did any other hunters find any alterna?

Thanks! They are both male. The alterna is a juvie about 15 in and the blairi is a young adult about 28 in. They are both "insitu" shots as I found them. The blairi was about to nail the scelop when I found him. As far as I know there were no other alterna found while I was there.

now that the law has lifted I dont see any reason everyone cant post their finds. Thanks for being the first. Oh yeah, if you bagged that east Sanderson, you need therapy.

I am sure it is in his freezer. Just removed it from the gene pool.

Therapy? I remember a certain californian that bagged up two horrendous looking alterna and took them home FROM 3 MILES WEST Sanderson. There's your therapy! (an alterna's and alterna I suppose)
