Leopard Gecko Eggs Growing?

kouneli Jun 13, 2012 12:00 AM

So I have just 2 eggs in the incubator right now. Question I have is...Will leopard gecko eggs still grow if they're infertile? They haven't grown by much, but noticeably in the last week (laid 6/5). I've candled them, and it looks like one might have a circle of veins in there, but the other one...nothing. The one that has nothing visible is actually bulging at both ends. It almost looks like a peanut, with not as thin of "waist".
So again...can leopard gecko eggs grow in size if they're not fertile?

maybe twins or the egg has absorbed a lot of water even though a dud. Weard! let us know what happens! If it nice and white and passes the smell test, dont toss it! I love this kinda stuff! Its what keeps us going on and on...Hay look mom, three heads! vm
