Baby Major skinks/ Egernia frerei

viandy Jun 30, 2012 11:04 AM

I got three unsexed adults a year or two ago. Have given them minimal care, always meaning to put them in a different cage nicely fixed up. I came home last night and two babies were at the front of the cage! Found four more, so believe six total. Didn't have time for thorough search (or to take a decent picture) yet. Can't help showing them off!

Real nice .

Imagine you have 1 male and 2 female?

Could be, hard to say. Since I did end up with ten babies I think they're 1.2. Either one litter of 7 then another of 3, or one of ten and 3 hid from me for a week.
Sexing them is like sexing blue tongues, by that I mean something I can't do. One has a slightly different dorsal pattern than the other two. Dimorphism?
All the babies have been eating well on dubia and crickets. Think they ate some banana, too, but hard to tell.
Thanks for the comment, I'm glad someone noticed !

I would imagine 1 male because the hate adult male skinks have for each other is blinding.
