Three years, about two hundred anoles (the male won't switch to rodents)and a gestation period of 65 days (at 83F) and I finally have some babies. Don't worry Chris and Dan, I have you down.

Disclaimer: I do keep several snakes in pairs, and some in groups. However I realize that things can go wrong, and I have to keep a close eye on those groups, to be sure they are not being adversely affected by these living conditions. Also if one happens to eat it's cagemate, it is 100% my fault, and I know the risks in advance!

Do they look like the parents, or do they undergo a change?

Here is a bad pic of the parents breeding. The flash washed them out a bit.

That's cool, can see basically what they look like. They are similar to the babies then? Not a lot of change in pattern or color, thanks for the pic.

I had honestly thought that the adults hadn't really changed much since they were babies but obviously I have missed the subtle differences with seeing them everyday. I still think that they are beautiful but the babies have cleaner colors. One of my favorite snakes for sure.

Well, that is the case with almost every snake. The babies are usually brighter. Still nice animals. Congratulations on keeping them healthy, and getting them to breed!

I think there are six. There is a hide in the cage full of sphagnum moss so I can't see them all. Still waiting for them to all shed.
So far I can't sex them. I don't like to pop until they have shed and the two that have shed look like girls but they are pretty small. Next comes feeding. Luckily I have a ton of small anoles in the freezer.
