Juno Road last night

morulus67 Jul 10, 2012 12:18 PM

We tried to go on Sunday night - less traffic and no tire testers, but once we got across the I-90 bridge headed to Comstock, it was raining so hard we could not see the road. No point in attempting Juno Rd. in that kind of rain. So we tried again last night, but again radar showed rain on Juno, so we waited and left at 11 pm. We saw two snakes - both annulata. One DOR and one alive. Still trying to figure out how to post pics...???

I've never herped that area of TX, but I'd like to think the annulata's worth the trip. Cool find. Looking forward to pics.

Still trying to figure out how to re-size photos so they fit here. Any advice?

Set up a photobucket account, save your pics there, copy the IMG code, and paste it into your message.

Its an anole. I had several hatchlings last year that took them as first meals. Some others took pinkies scented with fence lizard.

That's cool. I think an annulata on Juno is harder to find than an alterna.
