Pics of Tortoise Indoor Housing?

DrZaius77 Jul 12, 2012 04:27 PM

Hello,
I am in the process of getting plans together to build indoor housing for my yellowfoot tortoise. I plan to make it out of wood and plexiglass. I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of their tortoise housing to give me some ideas? thanks, steve

You will get a laugh out of the "Tortoise Man Cave" you might need a few more 2X4's...ha! Also included here is a temporary pen I use for my babies indoors. I do all my enclosures out doors so maybe you should wait and see if EJ will chyme in he is the indoor enclosure tortoise guy. Richard

I use plywood to make 8X4' indoor pens for my tortoises. I add heat and lighting and use a mulch bedding and it works fine. Right now the pens are being cleaned and refurbished so I have newspaper in them temporarily... I think yellowfoots might need to be soaked often to compensate for any lack of humidity but that will also keep your mulch fresher!
