Do you need a Non-resident nongame permit to ship to someone in TX? I've actually never had anyone in TX contact me until now. I tried to read it on the TPWD website, but thought I'd get a more definite answer here.

Feels like you would need it for a native species like Gray-bands, but I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks for the help,
Brian

The way I read it, you Texas laws only apply to residents of Texas and those visiting (in) the state. Therefore you can possess any Texas species you want as long as they were legally taken/produced.

If you send them to someone in Texas, it is the responsibility of the recipient to comply with Texas laws, not yours.

Thanks Chris. That's how I thought it read also. The fact that you can get non-resident permits threw me.
