My Female Rio Fuerte is laying her eggs today. So far she has laid 9 and appears to have maybe 2-3 more in her. My question is aimed towards someone with experience in fertile eggs. All her eggs look the same having gray spots all over them. Is this normal? other than the spots they look nice so far. I have pics but can't figure out how to resize them to upload on KS. Thanks

Well an update to the egg laying. She ended up laying 15 eggs over approx. a 24 hour period. Amazing. She is approx. 5 years old and not overly large for her age (approx. 29 in.) Male is 32 inches and same age. I would still like to hear some feedback from others on if small gray spots or even tiny circles are normal. All 15 eggs have this and all eggs are almost identical in size, shape, "spotting". Thanks

Here's my first "good" rio eggs of this season....see how brilliant white n plump they are? In my experience good eggs are soft for a minute or two after laying n then become very turgid. All the heloderm eggs I've hatched have looked like these but I've had other reptile eggs that looked strange hatch too. Good luck to everyone. Hope to see lots of baby pics this fall n next spring...

Peace

Just an update on the eggs since not much going on here. I am obviously not good at estimating eggs. My female ended up laying 19 eggs! 3 were bad from day 1. In 2 weeks will mark the half way point in incubation. All 16 eggs still have the gray spotting but evidently must be good since they have made it this far. Keeping my fingers crossed.
