Which of the spiny lizards is the largest? I saw one at a friends house years ago that looked huge to me but can't what it was exactly!! Thanks!

I'd have to say Desert Spiny Lizards are the largest AKA Sceloporus magister. I've seen large males in the 10" to 11" range with considerable bulk to match. Whether or not something else lurks well south of the border is another question however.

Largest is the Texas Blue Spiny. I used to have some that were the size of a female bearded dragon 14-15 inches. I gave away my collections years ago and recently purchased 3 babies. They are sub adults now.
