Uncalcified Eggs

jskahn Aug 05, 2012 02:07 PM

My female Rhino has layed infertile ? eggs for the last 3 years. I have never actually seen them mate. The eggs are the right color, but softer than normal eggs, and just full of yolk when opened, no blood.I was reading a post and uncalcified eggs were mentioned. I was wondering if that is her problem'

I'm not sure, but with Kismet there was no shell at all -- she laid what looked like when you crack and egg into a dish and slightly scramble it, along with some blood.

Thanks again Really,
That probably isn't the problem.Hopefully I can find another male. It is a shame she has nested and protected so many eggs, with no results.
