New Woma Python

domingos Aug 11, 2012 01:28 PM

Here is my new 2012 female Woma. Love her striping and creamy yellow background. Great temperament, but during my first feeding, she immediately struck at the rat pup and ingested quickly. She then proceeded to bite my snake hook as I nudged her to see how she would respond. She then bit her tail, which I suppose was due to movement. When I placed her back in the enclosure, she slithered past a piece of drift wood, moving it, and thus biting it. After 24 hours, I handled her and as sweet as can be again.

Hoping to get a male within the next few weeks. Breeder is expecting a clutch. All he has available are females at the moment.

Congrats on the new baby...they can have a feeding response that's just best described probably as "psycho!" sometimes it seems. I have them that run the full spectrum of temperments, some puppydog tame, others demon posessed and a couple that change attitudes seasonally.

Best of luck with the little one!

Charlie
