New Sonoran Mountain King

thomashowardjr Aug 14, 2012 09:05 PM

I just received my lampropeltis pyromelana pyromelana she's about two years old and so beautiful. She is settling in and runs away every time I walk by the cage. I hope she calms down and plan to give her some time before I start trying to handle her.

Just wanted to see if folks had some advise on how to help her adjust or advice from having a snake such as this in your life. This is my first snake and it may sound cheesy, but I just want to give her the best life I can.

I am also trying to find a source to acquire sone curved pieces of bark I can put in her cage. Any advice on hides would also be great.

All mountain kings, including pyros, like tight hides that they can barely squeeze into, where they can have their belly touching the ground and their back touching the hide.
