Do They Drink?

Paradon Aug 24, 2012 06:05 PM

What about when it drinks water? What do they do with all the water that they drink? Should you put a water bowl in the cage for them if they are very prone to retaining water? Thanks?

so how do you give it water? I've read Dough Dix's care sheet and it states that he dampen the greens for them... I may be getting a chuck soon so I like to know as much about their husbandry as possible. Thanks!

Yes, I agree. Only gravid or stressed and emaciated Chucks who have stopped eating before layingeggs or because they are sick will drink. If you suspect your Chuck is ill, and if it has not been feeding, spray the glass and see if it wants to drink. It will lap the water from the glass. You still do not need to put a water bowl in the cage. Just make sure it has plenty of nourishing flowers or greens to eat!
