Parrot vs snakes. PIC

HerpZillA Sep 02, 2012 10:44 PM

hay gang, dang summer went fast. My rescue hound is doing well and really getting use to a super spoiled life instead of being locked in a barn on a 3' rope. we picked up a second rescue that is a smaller fuzz ball. Both love each other and are happy.

NOW, lately I have been selling off a few parrots I have had. I had a nape on my hand and she was ok, Surprised as minimal handling in many years. But she has a double yellow cage mate. Well all of a sudden she decided she was possessed my the devil himself.

She got my thumb in several places in 1 attack. Now I have been bitten worse my old WC birds in the 70s. but I;m older and old man skin is not as resilient as young skin.
Picture is worth a 1000 words.

I have been bitten in the face, neck, arms, fingers, legs, shoulders, cheek, all over the place by snakes up to 7 foot pythons...good bites....but I never been and NEVER want to be bitten by a parrot....ever....(or turtle)....

....OUCH....scares me badly....

good luck....buy gloves....sell birds....get chickens and pheasants and ducks...the bite is less and they taste better baked.....

lol. Parrots have there own coolness just like snakes and lizards. Been fighting issues with my back, knees, and just getting old. Now I'm waiting on a biopsy with a mass behind my ear in my neck. My life seems to be that expression, take 1 step forward and 2 steps back. If the lab comes back bad I just may clear what little I have in critters left. time will tell.
