Found this snake in our shed today in northeastern Maryland.
About 12 inches long, with a black and grey patterned back and a plain white/cream underbelly.
Can anyone help identify it?
Sorry that the picture is blurry.
Thanks!

It appears to be a juvenile black rat snake, a nonvenomous rodent eating constrictor. It will turn black as it ages. They are relatively common in MD.
I very much agree. A totally harmless juvenile Black Ratsnake. I hope it wasn't killed.
