Common and Alligator 2012

I will use this thread to chronical the lives of these two turtles. I have had common snappers before but never the other.

Awesome. Love the Alligator Snapper! I don't even own any turtles anymore but common snappers have always been a joy to own. They really have personality... Those goofs always managed to put a smile on my face.

And as for Alligator Snappers, as far as looks go you can't get a meaner looking reptile outside of Monitor Lizards. Alligators Snaps have to be in my personal top five scale for scale most wicked looking reptiles... Big congrats on it!

Every few months as they grow it just feels more and more like you have a damned dinosaur as a pet : )

I'm not implying that you intend to, but just in case you are, DON'T house them together.

I do enjoy keeping them as well. The common is now at a friends house. I am only raising the alligator now. I have raised a few commons before. I need to get some updated photos.
