NARBC Tinley Park

waspinator421 Oct 27, 2012 02:52 PM

I know it was two weeks ago, but I finally had time to go through my pics and video this weekend.

This was a great show! Saturday was PACKED all day long! In my video you can see how long the line was 10 minutes before the doors opened. Though, I heard from a friend that when he arrived 30 minutes after the doors opened the line had folded back on itself all the way back up the long hallway and out the door. Wow!

There were a sprinkling of BRBs here and there, some were quite pretty! Even some PRBs, and a couple CRBs.

Looks awesome Aubrey!!! I think that is a show that I definitely need to get to, even if only a spectator…

Those where some great photos, some of which where animals I’d never seen before. I see that you made the shirts you where talking about a while ago. I love the black with the pink design.

Maybe next time I’ll see you there.

John, I would definitely suggest making a trip to Tinley. It's a pretty good sized show and for most of it, it's really mostly good quality animals. I will tell you, that there is a large percentage of ball pythons so be prepared for that...but this is a show where the best of the best of those show up and if there's a top end morph or morph combo that you'd like to see in person, this is the show you're probably most likely to get to see it at. Personally I think there was a little more variety outside of bp's than there was last year. I didn't see woma's as much this year, although I did see more black headed pythons, I also saw fewer carpet pythons than before, but there was a very good selection of chondros.

Thanks John! You definitely should come and have a look next year, but go to the October show, as the Spring show they now have is much smaller. I've been to a few different shows in the Midwest, and then also the one in Daytona, and of those Tinley is my favorite! So happy that this one is close to me.

Great pics Aubrey, so how do you manage to get away long enough to even see the stuff?

I think you got shots of a few things I missed this year, although that's not hard to do at that show.

Hope you did well there, we didn't do nearly as well as we'd hoped to, just seemed like people weren't spending much this year. I heard the same from many other vendors also, and for the most part the crowd walking by the table seemed empty handed a lot. There was a pretty good crowd most all weekend though. Some shows are just like that sometimes, I don't know how much good it did but when people were checking out the brb's I had out and looking for a pet, I tried to point people in the direction of your table and Trace's...hopefully I managed to send you a sale or two. We still had a great time there and will definitely be back!

Thanks Charlie! And also thanks for sending people my way! I was doing the same for those who were looking for visual morphs, as I had no Hypos or Anerys on my table.

I did OK, but really didn't make very much at all especially considering the turnout. LOTS if people came to my table, but only sold a handful of snakes. Made less than last year, believe it or not. Though I did have an extreme last minute sale. A guy found me loading the last bits into my car to ask if I still had a certain snake. I did, and he bought it!

Thanks guys! LOL, I know what you mean. All the pics and video you see were taken on several quick passes throughout the weekend, but mainly on Saturday. There is no way I can take a couple hours to really get a good look what is there. If I did my partner would kill me, lol! Still, you gonna make time to have a look at a show like this.
