Pebbles, My New Yearling Rhino

kiss44 Nov 13, 2012 10:35 AM

I just received my one year old female, and she is amazing! Surprisingly, she eats right out of my hand, and is fairly calm. Her color has lightened up quite a bit since I took this pic last week, and she is gorgeous!!

Any suggestions on the best way to start working with her?

Yep, don't do anything. Just feed her and handler her when necessary to clean her cage. Let her become who she is naturally. Cyclura naturally don't have any predators as adults and calm down once they get bigger.

So, aside from moving her to clean the cage, you say I shouldn't handle her at all? She already eats from my hands with no hesitation, so I take that as a great sign.
