Hibernation....

What is the shortest amount of time any of you hibernate your snakes? I'm talking about for North American snakes in general. I live in Texas, and about the coolest I get my room is 60 degrees, except for the occasional cold snap. My room stays from 60-62 degrees, and I usually keep everything down for about 3 months. Does anyone keep theirs down for shorter?

I have put them in the closet (coolest room in the house) for about 2.5 months and it seems to work fine. I live in central AL. The first time I used a closet where the temps stayed around 60 to 65. I now use a closet that has two walls to the outside and that closet stays cooler. (from ~54 to ? depending on how warm it is outside. Now we are in the 70's for a week or so and that ain't helping!

When I was in my old house I had my snakes in one of the spare bedrooms, and I too had to rely on outside temps. I now have them in one side of my partitioned garage. I have a window unit and insulation in the walls, and cycling is relatively easy. I can't keep as many hatchlings up through the Winter as I would like.
