Albino Molossus question

yautja901 Dec 04, 2012 03:16 PM

Around how much do neonate albino blacktails run for? Also how readily available are they and who breeds them?
The few pics I have seen of this animal are utterly outstandingly breathtaking!! Any info/decent pics would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

I don't have any real info for you. The rumors I heard is that they are in the collection of an AZ resident who originally found the original animal. I have never seen them for sale ANYWHERE. I heard that he gifts the animals to friends if/when they are produced since it's illegal for AZ residents to SELL native AZ hots. I don't have names or any more info- sorry. It would be amazing to see them more within the hobby. Maybe someone with more info will chime in...

Yes, there was an adult albino molossus collected in the vicinity of Tucson, Az quite a few years ago. The animal is still alive and in good health with the individual that collected it.

Gsc is 100% right...Az state law prohibits the commercialization of ANY Az reptile or amphibian. Progeny of animals whose lineage can be traced back to Az can only be given away or otherwise disposed of per AzG&F guidelines. Therefore, progeny of this animal could not legally be sold, traded, etc.

I know that this individual also breeds other crotes as well, and routinely gifts away neonate abyssus, tigris, etc.
