Hi,

is anyone working with gentic striped/spotted andesiana and or would share some pics or infos?
I'm also interested in other andesiana morphs and their origin.

Interesting how the striped andesiana have such a different pattern than this striped gaigeae I produced back in 2009. She's over 48" (120cm) long now, so I'm hoping she'll be big enough to breed this spring so I can try to figure out whether this is a heritable trait, or something caused by external factors such as incubation temperatures, as some have speculated. Since you say "genetic striped", I presume you have found the striped/spotted pattern to be a heritable trait in andesiana... and if I'm interpreting the file names of the images correctly, they represent a trio of adults and one of their offspring? What did the rest of the clutch look like?

No striped Andeans here either... but thanks for posting some photos. I've seen photos of other striped andesiana and was intrigued by the fact, at least in the few specimens I saw, they had a white stripe mid-dorsally while gaigeae had a red stripe.

I made a post a short while back asking if others had noted variations in that pattern in other "real deal" milks but didn't receive many replies.

Here's a pic of my partially striped male gaigeae (at one month old) that I acquired from Rob Haneisen a couple of years ago. Plan to bred him with my adult female Jade... also a partially striped BM, not that you can tell anymore.
