jknaup Dec 22, 2012 10:52 AM

I found some for sale on a list just wondering if anyone knows this answer or knows of any photos of a "tiger" savannah

They have big giant teeth and bite more. But I did hear then purr. Have a great day.

Oh wait, I forgot, the world ended, so in this new world, maybe there are tiger savs. Cheers

Once again, useless advice and a snarky response from Frank, what a surprise. A picture of this guys face is next to the word "troll" in the dictionary of internet slang.

To answer the OP's question, it's not a real morph from what I can gather. Just another way for suppliers to bump the price up 50%. Might be a nicely coloured individual, but I wouldn't bank money on it.

Sorry for the tone you got from the first response. I understand it can make asking for advice in the future, even when it matters, unappealing. Not what these forums should be about. No wonder everyone left these forums.

Hi reticulatus,
I`m not sure how Frank Retes took the OP`s post, but I thought it was probably a joke (as was the first reply).
It would be extremely unlikely that there are "Tiger Savannah monitors" (but not entirely impossible), in which case I`d love to see a few photos....

Large teeth and bite alot, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm some folks just do not know how to laugh.

If there is such a thing as a Tiger sav morph, I wonder why its called a morph. To be a morph, it must be proven genetically, you know bred in captivity. Otherwise its just a name for some, what, spotted sav?

I too would like to see it, but only if its leashed. Would it have retractable claws. Cheers

This was my second question i posted after being out of the hobbly for over ten years. Both, times it blows up into insults over something FR. Frank man what did you do to these guys to have such power.

I found two sites that advertised "tiger morph" savannah monitors. However, neither of them have photos. I have saw leucistic, albinos, anerythristics in savannahs (photos) but there to rich for my blood...so when i saw this "tiger" for like $100. It caught my interest...as someone else suggested im sure its just some odd looker that got a fancy name so it would cost more.....

But seriously chill out...FR can crack a joke. Ive been out a while so i didnt no if they had codominant traits if im not mistaken like tigers are in retics showing up in monitors thanks.

This was the reply i got from the site i saw them on:

"Sorry no pics currently. These are sold out right now.

Very rarely offered.

Muted "tiger" pattern on the body of these. Some kind of geographical morph that shows up every now and then."

anybody know anymore about these or have a pic???

You guys just want to protect your high and mighty leader so maybe someday he'll divulge some of his secrets to breeding desert monitors outside in the desert haha.

See I can joke too.
