Gorgeous, gorgeous and more gorgeous! WOW!
Love them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hard to pick a fave, as they are all so awesome!
Since I love deppei deppei, I gotta say, those are just beautiful now, and will be mind blowing as adults. Who did you get those from?

The axanthic bull has so much detail and contrast too. The multi hets are also awesome.

Thanks for sharing!

I was watching the classifieds last year for available bullsnakes when I saw an ad for the deppei's from a guy named David Wean who happened to live really close by in San Antonio. I picked up a pair from him and then made a straight across trade for a different female. I was trying for some genetic diversity but considering most deppei's in the hobby all originate from just a few original WC's I'm not sure it matters that much. I try to avoid breeding siblings whenever possible so the trade made me feel better even if it was only in my head. lol

David works with boids mostly and if I remember right the deppei's are the only colubrids that he owns. He didnt cool them. Just kept them at room temp and didnt plan on breeding them. This year he found himself with some unexpected eggs. He incubated them and out popped the little guys he was selling. He had some pics of the parents and the color contrast was amazing so I'm getting pretty excited that my male is starting to turn white in the anterior third.

They took a lot of patience to get them feeding regularly. They ate soon after I got them and then went off feed for several weeks. I was getting worried but I just waited them out and kept checking their environment and gradually they started eating again. I feed them fuzzy mice and they are putting on weight but its really slow going. I wouldnt expect to have these to breeding size for 4 maybe 5 years at the rate they are going. lol

I bought them as an impulse buy and they quickly became one of my favorite snakes. Their personalities and they way they move is unlike any other pit I've worked with. They seem almost boa-like in their movement. Im definitely glad I got them.

You made an awesome choice!! I saw David's ads, and they were very nice deppei deppei!!

They do, do better at cooler temps as they are from high mountain ranges, should not/can't be pushed, and may grow slower than other pits, which is fine. I have known of some not getting to breeding size until 4 or 5. As long as they are healthy, that is all that matters!! They are easily enjoyed, and are amazing snakes to own. I have 3, but may get more in the future, as they are among my top 3 favorite snakes.

Again, fantastic specimens you have my friend!

Great looking snake Dan. I was doing a mite check with a loupe and really started to notice how the yellow speckling they show in the black bands towards their heads give them an almost jewel like appearance.

The Black Pine is not lacking for meals! All are nice... Curious to see what the deppei will look like as an adult.

Unknown bloodline. I bought one from an ad on here and the person advertised it as a local show pick-up and I bought the other on another site with the same story. I wasnt too worried about locality. They are both great looking snakes with slight white tipping left on the sides and chin. Ive never worked with black pines before and the price was right so.......lol
