Good luck with them, very pretty pair Tim. I'm really wishing I'd gotten into stripes and vanishing patterns over the last couple years

Nice pair! When did you bring them out of brumation? I brought my pair up a month ago, they have both eaten several times and shed. Tonight the male was interested but the female was not. I separated them and will try again in a week.

I brought mine up in mid-February. Most of the time I do not see my corns showing any interest in each other. I tend to put them togather for a few days and then seperate them for a few days - I keep doing that until the female is obviously gravid.

I use newspaper as a substrate. I checked my Alabama Corns yesterday and there was a yellow stain on the paper. This is a tell-tale sign of breeding activity - however, I've never seen the male show any interest in the female.

I have noticed that corns seem to like mating very early in the morning. And some do show an initial pursuit and mating upon introduction - but for me, most do not.

After putting them back together a week or so ago I have seen mating once. I plan to leave them together until she is obviously gravid or acts like she is tired of him.

Very nice Tim. I had my first pair of corns breed 2 days ago and a pair of Cal kings mating as we speak. Hope you have a good season.
