This might be a silly question but I'm not extremely knowledgeable with leucistic snakes so I'm going to ask anyway.
I have a four year old leucistic texas rat snake I bought as an adult about a year ago. He's been kept under a white light in a tank for about a year and a half, as that's what the breeder said to use. (I've only just discovered that's wrong.) He ate less than twelve days ago and he shed about two weeks ago.
I just last night moved him into a snake rack with belly heat and news paper as a temporary substrate and this afternoon when I went to change over his water he has an extremely pink hue to him. Anyone know what this might be? Thanks in advance!
