Here goes:
1. Pacific
2. San Diego
3. Pacific
4. San Diego (I went back & forth on this one. The low blotch count makes me think pacific, but I'm going to go with San Diego based on pattern & color)
5. Pacifics
Normally one associates a low blotch count & clean pattern with pacifics. However northern coastal animals have high blotch counts so differentiating some examples of the two subspecies without locality info can be difficult.
PB

Lorenzo and Zumbida, pair of 08 Pacifics

Zepher, a wild caught San Diego about three years old. He was caught in southern Monterey County about 15 miles south of Monterey and about 5 miles inland from the coast near Point Lobos.

Zero, a Pacific Hatchling found in the basement of a bank in Cave Junction, Oregon in fall of 2011.

Gonzo, huge 08 gopher I thought was a pacific as that what how she was represented to me when I bought her, and she looks like the local Pacifics found here in the Mother Lode Sierra Foothills.

Lorenzo and Zumbida's babies hatched last fall.
So you were in agreement on all but Gonzo, who I have always thought was a Pacific. Whatever she is she is huge for a gopher snake, bigger than my bull snakes.

I thought that Gonzo might have been the trick question example. I should have gone with my original inclination.
You provided good examples for the test.
Thanks!
Thanks, PeeBee!

Gonzo this morning.

Pacific rescued from road last spring. Good example of native MotherLode Pacifics. Relocated to pocket gopher infestation at friend's house.

Zola, my striped Pacific.

All pacific except #2
The first pair (pic #1) look very mixed due to the pattern and high blotch count but pacific by coloration.
-----
Pituophis c. annectans
Senticolis t. intermedia
Pantherophis bairdi
Lampropeltis m. thayeri
Lichanura t. trivirgata
Pseudopus apodus
The first pair have made me wonder as well; possibly an intergrade of the two subspecies? They came from a breeder in Florida, not much information beyond hatch date and gender. I liked their baby pics anyway and had to have them.
Then when a friend gave me number two, which is for certain a San Diego, I was even more puzzled as to what my 08 pair were, as the pattern is more like him than like my other Pacifics. There is a lot of variation amongst this species depending upon locale.
