Wild Pacific Gophers from Yesterday

tspuckler Apr 06, 2013 01:50 PM

I'm early into my first vacation/herping trip of 2013. Here are some Pacific Gopher Snakes from yesterday.

The biggest one found so far, under artifical cover.

And one that probably hatched in 2012.

A habitat shot.

I also found Yellowbelly Racers, Ringnecks, Coast and Santa Cruz Garters, and a Northern Pacific Rattlesnake. Not a bad start!

Good finds! Like the habitat shot, too.

So far this year I have found sharptail snakes, ringneck snakes, ensatina salamanders, western toads, and tree frogs.
