Hey guys, I'm new on here and fairly new to King snakes. I just picked up this male and I have no idea what color he is. Has the colors of a banana phase (deep chocolate and yellow) but I'm not sure if the pattern is correct or what have you. Any help will be greatly appreciated and please no negative comments. I'm new.

He is either a coastal striped cali king or a desert striped cali king. As far as I can tell the desert striped king is more white and black and the coastal is more yellowish and black. They are one of my favorites. The first pic below is the desert variety, the second is the coastal.
