Some thoughts for herping

I would like to ask people to not bring freezer animals out to seed the cuts, although we may think its funny there is to many diseases that can be spread.

Please remember these animals in our freezers died of something. The freezing does not kill these pathogens, as SFD seems to be spreading we don't want to help it spread.

One other note please also wash your snake bags and spray your tongs and hooks before each time you head out in the field to help stop the spread of disease.

Back many years ago we would bring rubber snakes and put them in the cuts, I dont know who started the whole frozen snake thing but like you said its not a good idea at all.

Yeah for sure that's not a cool thing to do. One year back in about 2004 or so my son and I found a dead Brazilian rainbow boa near the top of big hill on River Road.
