So unfortunately I had 22 Western Hog eggs that weren't fertile, so instead of just throwing them away, I figured I would give them to a few of my gravid Hondos.

What's better for egg production than eggs!?

Here are some pics I took with my phone...so the quality isn't that great.

I used to feed them to my monitors when I kept them. It was like candy for them. I'm guessing they were a terrific source of protein. Take care. Mike Panichi

Yep that was my thought...breeding Western Hogs is not as simple as other species I've worked with, but I'll figure them out soon!

Nice picture Rusty. I have done the same with dud corn snake eggs. She looks like she was given a bag of candy!

yeah, she really enjoyed them...and I think it's almost her last meal before she goes off feed.

My hondos are so freakin chubby right now...I love it!

good idea.....just check her everyday...when she let's the shells out...it might smell, or make a mess....I just didn't like that smell laying around too long...

I haven't seen any shells...and I don't expect to either...Western Hog eggs are really fragile.

I agree! Great use for slugs!! My very small getula collection usually benefit from any milk slugs I get.
