I need some advice

cherokee_reptile May 12, 2013 10:47 PM

Tonight when I checked in on one of my pairs of corns I noticed book on the side of the cage. Not being a stranger to corns or this forum I remembered someone bringing this up before. I did seperate the snakes that were together and am giving them a couple days to relax and feed them I have planned to re introduce them later this week.

That looks like a lot of blood. Check for injuries and take them to a vet if you can't find anything.

looks like a slasher film.

i'd freak if i saw that in my snake cages. I suggest taking them to the vet right away.

Tim Please take a look and give me some advide here both animals have nothing wrong visually. I spereated them as soon as I saw it happened. I remember seeing a post similar to this a couple years ago I just dont remember what the advice was.

if they are not dripping, ripped, torn, prolapsed, cruddy and rotting and fermenting...

they are fine...

....breed them again ....get enough sperm in her....they shouldn't bleed like that again....

...I said shouldn't......>>>>

this was the third day I had several visual confirmations on locking up. More then I have had in the past.

JYohe May 13, 2013 05:52 PM

you see no wrong don't sweat it...

females can bleed....male's penes do have hooks on them....female may have shrunk down from last year....he may have been really excited and swelled alot, maybe she was dragging him around.......all kids of stuff can go wrong...

////...>>kind of wild that it's up that high on the glass though...usually it's all over the floor....

.....>,,,check the vents really well.....

and smell them....yes...I said it....if it smells rotten ....it might be....rotten...not stinky ....there is a difference....

I have done all of that already It looked like it sprayed on the glass basically I have seen them with the vents up off the bedding when breeding

JYohe May 13, 2013 05:45 PM

????...was this blood I take it all over the front glass....from breeding 2 corns???...

IF so....look at their vents....if they look OK....they are OK...

if they are crudy or dripping blood....show us a pic of it...

I saw blood a few times and nothing was fine...

looks bad doesn't it....!!!
...

check them

I have checked them all is well.. It just seemed like a lot of blood

I had this happen with ball pythons. I;m not saying this is what happened with yours but it seem to be from breeding. Both my male and that female reproduced again. I know a few others told me they had seem this when I was asking years ago. I hope it goes well.
