I did the happy dance today!! My female jcp laid her first clutch of eggs sometime between three p.m. Friday afternoon and about an hour ago! Sicne I didn't catch her in the act, she will be maternally incubating, and I did get a glimpse of the eggs while removing four duds, and estimate there to be between 8-12 good eggs in the clutch. It's been a long hard road, but it's now being rewarded!!

That's great news! I haven't had a clutch yet myself, many times I've raised up females only to find I had 2 males. Just picked up a huge female so needless to say I'm shopping for a mate. Good luck with the eggs, that's very exciting! Post pics!
