I wonder why it went full term, then died. Maybe it couldn't slit the egg shell. Would have been interesting to see it survive. Makes me wonder if I should routinely slit eggs after they start pipping.

It had a very severe kinked neck so if it did hatch out it would not have lived anyhow.
