Central NJ mystery snake

Paraphoe Jun 16, 2013 09:38 PM

Hey all...can anyone help me ID this snake (link below)? I've looked through a lot of literature about NJ snakes but can't seem to nail down exactly what it is. Might be a juvenile...was thinking maybe a milk snake or a water snake?

It was found in a wooded area by a bike trail in central NJ - the Colts Neck/Freehold area.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Jason

That's definitely an Eastern Milksnake (L.t.triangulum)
