That Meeker is awesome. Is the partial stripe genetic or line bred?

I was told that the Meeker gene is a simple recessive trait. Meekers can be have striping along with the reduced pattern. This is my first year getting eggs from meekers, so will see what happens in a few months.

On the serious side though, I think it's another cutting edge project that's making it hard for me to stay focused on my bulls! You've already got me hooked on the Great Basins!!!(I may have to make some room for some of those double hets when they become available.) I hope you'll keep us updated on that project!
