Hi,
Any more info and updates on how the litter of baby viper boas are getting along? or is there anyone here who has bred them in the past and has advice on the juvenile care?

Hi,

The few litters I had last year are doing great & have graduated to fuzzy mice. I have them set up in my Reptile Basics racks with back heat. The heat is regulated by a helix control set to 88f, & the cool end is 78f - 80f (the temp of my room). I feed them about every 2 weeks or so. They each have a water bowl to soak in, a dry hide, & a damp hide.
Viper boas are cool little snakes!

Thank you Dan for the info. As I have two gravid viper boas at the moment I have a list of questions to ask you which I will post in a day or so when I get more time. I will try and make them yes/no ones so I don't take up too much of your time but am really keen if I do get babies to give them the best possible chance as it seems not many people have success raising them. Just a quick couple of questions to start with. About the adults. What is the largest size male you have seen? or have you seen an adult female with spurs?
Thanks and all the best,
Roger
Hey Roger,
About 2ft long is a huge male in my experience. I've never seen a female with spurs.
Dan
Meant to say 2 1/2ft.
