UNBELIEVABLE - Soooooo Happppy

John Q Jul 16, 2013 06:26 PM

I just checked the incubator to see how the red milk eggs were doing. First clutch was out so I set them up in a 6qt. box. Then I noticed a head moving in another container. This container was from another breeding, F2's. A couple days early by my calculations. I opened the container and could not believe what I saw. I brought the container down stairs where I have better lighting. Not only is it striped or reverse striped, it's hypo.
As far as I know, this is a first. If someone knows different, please let me know.

Wild looking!

Please post some additional pics if you can, next to some "normal" clutch mates.

What's the history on that snake? (PM if you'd rather share in private) It looks different than the "Blody Line" hypo syspila several other NA milk guys are working with.

First, I want to say thanks for the positive feedback. I'm really excited to have this new project. The hatchlings have shed and been given their first meal. Now that they have shed I can describe the snake better. The dorsal area is all white. There is very little red, just a touch on the head and spot on the dorsal area. There is no black, ALL lavender which means that it is a T-Positive albino. There was a sibling that died in the egg. Incubated in the same container, normal pattern, but with lavender coloring instead of black.
I still believe this is a first but would like to hear back if you or anyone you know has produced a T-Positive Syspila.
Thanks

John,

There are. both Tyrosinase positive and Tyrosinase negative albinos in breeding programs, though both groups are still "underground", so to speak. Both are also locality specific. What is the history of your line?

Thanks!
