Striped and speckled mex mex

Burnsy Jul 28, 2013 12:29 AM

This year seems to be a good year.
From my striped and speckled line I received a clutch and got out this animal that seems to have both characteristics. There seem to be more speckled animals in the clutch that haven't hatched out yet.

Here is mommy:

Another shot:

And here is the result:

Very cool! I can see the striping on the nuchal of the speckled one, which BTW is an outstanding example of the speckled morph.

Where did you get the striped momma from? It looks very similar to one I used to have that I traded to my friend Shannon and I still kinda regret letting it go.

Hi!

The striped female was a holdback animal that I bread myself.

Didn't your female end up in John Lassiter's collection?

The striped/speckled line is from Germany and one year I had this striped female in the clucth. The parents of her were from a half striped female that also threw out speckled babies as well.
I guess Vaclav's speckled's and also Mr Bell's granites are the same line.

I've had a few different lines of mex mex. The one I was refering to was one that I got in 1995. I know John got some of my speckly ones that I got from the Galvan's but I'm not sure if he got the ones from 1995.

I still have one pair of the speckly Galvan's line and one pair of black phase but I only have one lone male left from my 1995 line, that's why I was curious.

Anyways have a good day and I hope you keep posting pics of those nice animals. I did not produce any mex mex this year but I got some greeri and thayeri hatchlings which I intend to post pics of soon.
