What happens when these 2 species meet

poison1981 Jul 28, 2013 05:10 PM

In the wild if they are the same size? Someone had two of them together and they were fine. I was shocked I thought they would have eaten the other. Or maybe coach whips are not really snake eaters and only racers are? Racers often fail at it because of their tiny girth they end up being eaten by indigo and kings.

Both of these are so fast remind me of mambas you hardly see them. The coach whip is a beautiful pink sometimes. I never understood how coach whip kills its prey? Like larger prey?

They were blessed with speed, long jaws (big help) and long teeth (which paralyze)and the ability to hold down or pin with their bodies, which is sufficient for a snake without venom or the ability to constrict. I seen a 80" coachwhip grab a jumper rat so hard that I heard it's ribs crack and it eyes popped out of sockets.

I guess when racers and coachwhips meet they ignore each other?

THey both get eaten so easy by indigo and king snakes
