annulata and taylori

mikefedzen Jul 29, 2013 06:27 PM

After some technological difficulties I'm now back online whenever I have some free time, I was finally able to get my new site going, and have been slowly uploading new pictures while I impatiently wait for eggs to hatch. Unfortunately I don't have too many milk eggs yet this year, the clutch of albino annulata eggs I got fried when my incubator malfunctioned, and I'm still waiting for the female to go into shed so I can attempt to double clutch her. I had a male albino annulata breed to a spotted female then she never laid eggs. I got 3 eggs from a anery female to a crazy line hypo het anery hondo, the female died with 3 eggs stuck in her. The male also bred multiple times to a female crazy line but never laid eggs?!

If it wasn't for all the kingsnakes I'd have nothing for this year lol...
Here's some annulata from last year's breedings.

Possible het albino spotted #1

#2 wouldn't come out..

Here's a possible het albino (no spotted) female, she eats small adult mice already.

An albino annulata male.

Here is an adult female spotted I recently obtained, hoping I can finally produce some spotteds next year.

Here is my adult albino male chowing down.

And one of my newest additions to the collection, taylori.

Those possible hets, as well as your new spotted are quite nice. If I may ask, why are you using an incubator? Most, or at least many of us just use a room temp that is appropriate.

Yeah I have probably 8 rubbermaids full of eggs in a closet, I got the incubator two years ago and only used it for one clutch last year. This year the temps on it kept jumping and the one day it was at 92 for who knows long. I've learned my lesson with that it got thrown away.

You've got one hell of a collection of annulata, man.

Are those Rifle or Parachute taylori? Who produced them?
