Never have a camera when we need one. Out in an area that was mentioned to me for giving up a Southern Hognose or two. Evening had come upon us and as we headed back toward the road, our light caught some movement ahead. I figured just another Moc as they are fairly dense here. It though was a copperhead. Being NE Florida we were very surprised. We have only recently started coming across these in the Panhandle. Not freguently though.

Anyone familiar with these guys as this as caught my interest.

Also, anyone here know of a website that caters to people that herp the field?

The Field Herp Forum is the place that you want to go:
www.fieldherpforum.com/forum/

There is a main forum as well as subforums, like the Southeast Chapter, which covers Florida.

The people there know stuff and often are very helpful in providing me with IDs when I'm herping out of state.
