I was just at "Bugfest" yesterday and a local nature center had one on display that could be petted by visitors. For some reason these snakes have never "caught on" in the hobby, although some examples can be quite attractive.
I live in Ohio and there is too much "red tape" involved in trying to keep native herps, so I don't even try. I think Daniel Parker (Sunshine Serpents) works with them.
