indentifying?

hello,
i just saw an ad here on kingsnake that list a "southern hognose" for sale. i will admit that i am not expert, but it looks like an eastern to me. any more experienced keepers want to identify this please?

That is indeed an Eastern. It really is a shame when sellers do not know what they are selling.

thanks and agreed.

i emailed the guy informing him that i believe it is an eastern. his response was response was that he bought them as southerns and that is what he is selling them as. i suggested he do some research

lol. Yes Gregg is right. Definitely an eastern. I see people mixing these two up at shows all the time unless of coarse it is melanistic easterns then I think it is obvious enough.

Just remember that many people are flippers and they dont really care what they have.
