Caging dime size stinpots and filtration

jusmebabe Aug 18, 2013 03:33 PM

I just purchased 2 Stinkpots that are the size of a dime.
Any recommendations for tank size and filtration?
I have small kritter keepers up to large, 2.5 gal aquarium, 5 gal, and 20 long (for later). Since I'm using a small tank how would I filtrate it?
Thanks for any ideas and yes I have googled but nothing specific on turtles the size of a dime.

This forum isn't very active.
I keep small turtles like yours in a 20 gallon long with just a small inside floss filter. I feed them every other day in another container. I give them more than they will eat and give them at least 4 hours or so to eat. Then I wash them off and put them back into the 20 gal long tank. That way you don't have to clean out the larger tank very often.
I feed them chopped small fish, worms and pelleted food.
