What is breeding size for male gopher?

I have a male wild cought SD gopher snake that I think is about 1-2 yrs old. What is an appropriate weight/length for him to be in order for me to breed him? Thanks in advance for any help!

and haven't bred pits in about twenty years. But if he is two years and at least three feet. He should be able to get the job done. If he is a good eater I wouldn't focus on weight so much
as long as he isn't skinny.
