100th BRB litter born today

rainbowsrus Sep 19, 2013 11:40 PM

BRB litter #100 born tonight AND I got a series of pics assisting a breach birth. Kelli is a first time mom producing third generation babies bred by Yang another of my hold backs.

To add to the excitement, several babies came out tail first with sack already ruptured. I had already assisted two other babies and grabbed my camera for the third. Taking pics with one hand and extracting the baby with the other. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the pics came out with my camera at arms reach, no viewfinder.

Congrats on litter # 100!! Awesome that you assisted and helped out.

If you don't mind me asking, how big was the dam? I realize some of it is perspective, but she looks fairly small in the bowl.

Good eye, she is a smaller first time female. Around 1500 grams pre-gravid weight. Pretty much the smallest end of females.

Thought so!

I think it's great that your 100th was also a first-timer. How many babies did she produce?
